Stewie, Lexi, Mary and I are headed to Wrentham tonight for a NADAC trial. First there are Tunnelers Fun runs, and then 2 judged Hoopers runs at 6:00pm tonight! Hopefully we will finish our Open Hoopers title tonight, we need one more Q. Looking forward to a great and fun filled weekend.

Tunnel practice in the yard
Between the raindrops, Stewie and I had a practice with sending to tunnels. I put my tunnels in a curve in the backyard and practiced sending him from various distances, and various lateral distance from him. We did outs to the far ends of the tunnel and in to the closer end.
We had run and a good practice and Stewie got some running on the wet grass.

Practice field is ready for fun
Our club, NEAT, put up the fence at our summer practice field (110 ft by 110 ft) and set up our agility equipment last night. Hurray! We did a short practice last night and had a blast. We have our regulation dog walk along one side and another low dog walk on the other side for beginners. And our beautiful brand new aluminum A frame is all set up. Now we can get back to practicing contacts at big distances!

USDAA Master's Pairs
Here is our master's pairs run, unfortunately we had an off course. He was supposed to go to the tunnel under the A-frame, not the A-frame.
Master's Regular USDAA
Here is the course Stewie did at New England Agility Team (NEAT) USDAA trial Saturday. Stewie did a perfect job on this course, esp since this is the first USDAA we have done in almost a year. This run earned Stewie a Q and a blue ribbon out of a class of 18 dogs.

Elite Chance course Greenfield Ma
Here is the Elite Chances course from Saturday at Greenfield on Sat. May 2nd. Of course the most worrying spot is #8, 2 tunnels right next to each other. Unfortunately we messed up even before that! Stewie went from the #3 jump out to the wrong end of tunnel #5. I wasn't even thinking of that being a possibility and didn't call him off in time. We didn't get the correct tunnel at #8 either, but he did do the weaves like a champ. Lynn told me afterward that I was running laterally to him going toward #8, and didn't leave myself room to push out for the outside tunnel. Better luck next time!
Get outs and weaves
We had a good practice Tuesday night. We worked on get outs to jumps and tunnels, with about 20 feet of lateral distance. Stewie was doing great with that. Then we put it into a short sequence that included 12 weave poles from different directions. He was smoking! He likes to weave so much more now and is much faster and more confident! A great short practice session.

Elite Weavers Success!
This is the Elite Weavers course Stewie did last Saturday at NAE's Greenfield trial May 2nd. Stewie did an excellent job weaving and got a Q and a 3rd place, earning his Elite Weaver's title!
His weaving is so improved from last year, and he was fast and happy.
Wordle
This was created using Wordle, it made a graphic out of all of the words in Stewie's blog, the more times a word is used, the bigger it is. Interesting new thing of the day.

Heading to our first NADAC trial this year
Stewie and I are headed to Northeast Agility Enthusiast's NADAC trial in Greenfield Ma this weekend with our best friends, Mary and Lexi! We can't wait to get out on the field and run, and try out Chances after our distance training this winter. We are also going to give it our best shot on getting a Elite Weavers Q to finish our that title.
We'll let you know how we did Sunday evening.
