USDAA agility this weekend!

Our club, New England Agility Team, is having their annual USDAA trial this weekend. This is Stewie's annual USDAA trial. It will be interesting to see how we do! The courses are a lot different from the open and flowing NADAC courses.

We are entered in the Steeplechase and the Grand Prix. We'll let you know how we do!

NEAT Show and Go

NEAT held its annual Show and Go on October 25th. It was a beautiful, crisp fall day, a little chilly for the first couple of hours. We had a lot of novice and pre novice folks show up and they had some great runs with their dogs and got some good practice in. We also had a puppy/veteran dog run for pups younger than 18 months and some retired agility dogs to have a fun run! 

The only sad part of they day was that we had to pack our agility equipment up for the winter, every year it is a sad end to a fun day. 

Club Practice

We had beautiful weather and a great practice Wednesday at club practice. We set up a USDAA Masters standard course. It was a great course except for the threadle, I hate threadles. That is probably because I don't do them very well, I admit it!
Anyway, Stewie did fabulous weaves every time and got the entry every time, hurray! I handled the dogwalk from outside of the weave poles then called him over 12 and then turned and sent him to the poles. It worked great.

USDAA Master's Pairs

Here is our master's pairs run, unfortunately we had an off course. He was supposed to go to the tunnel under the A-frame, not the A-frame.

Master's Regular USDAA

Here is the course Stewie did at New England Agility Team (NEAT) USDAA trial Saturday. Stewie did a perfect job on this course, esp since this is the first USDAA we have done in almost a year. This run earned Stewie a Q and a blue ribbon out of a class of 18 dogs.

NEAT's USDAA Trial May 16-17,2009

New England Agility Team (NEAT) trial premium for it's annual USDAA trial is available at Trial Secretary Services right now! We are having all classes including Grand Prix and Performance National Standard. The site is Wakeda Campground, which is a beautiful site with camping sites available too.
Stewie will be there competing and we hope to see you there too!

DAM Team Qualifier

This photo is a bit of a blast from the past. It is from All Dog's Gym in 2007 when we placed in a DAM Team USDAA Qualifier. My teammates were Maureen and Bailey pictured above and also Jake the Border Collie who was camera shy!

We had a great day and were overjoyed ( and surprised) :) to qualify.!

Susan Garrett's 2 x 2 Weaves

Well I ordered Susan Garrett’s 2x2 Weave Pole Training, 12 Poles in 12 Days (DVD) on January 2nd, and can't wait for it to arrive.
Some of our club member's are going to view it and then make a plan for some training sessions in Jan and Feb. Hopefully it will come by this weekend, so I can spend some time reviewing it.

New England Agility Team Run Thrus July 10 and 31

New England Agility Team (NEAT)  is having agility run thrus Thursday July 10 and 31st at beautiful Tonry Tree Farm, tonrytreefarm.com, 314 Exeter Rd,  Rt 88, Hampton Falls, NH.

Run thru start at 6:00 pm til 8:00 pm. $10.00 a dog, as many runs as time permits.

USDAA New England Agility Team trial May 17-18

My club the New England Agility Team, NEAT, hosted their annual USDAA trial in Hampton Falls, NH last weekend. It was held at Wakeda Campground, www.wakedacampground.com.

The weather started rainy but soon cleared up and was warm and sunny the rest of the day Saturday. 

The trial went very smoothly and everyone had a great day. Stewie had snooker first class of the day, and was just finishing his 4th red jump when he went off course. His standard run was great until the very end, after getting his weave pole entry, and all three contacts, he went off course the 3rd jump from the ending. Bummer!

Sunday was a great day weather wise and everyone had fun runs.
